An injury-accident was reported about 6:48 p.m. March 24 on westbound I-70 east of the Turner Diagonal exit, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
A Ford F-150 truck and a Chevrolet Silverado truck were westbound on I-70 when the Ford driver changed lanes and struck the rear of the Chevy truck, according to the trooper’s report. The Chevy truck then struck the inside median barrier wall, the report stated.
A passenger in the Chevy truck, a 57-year-old woman from Atlantic, Iowa, was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Ford truck, a 24-year-old man from Centralia, Kansas, was not injured, according to the report.
The driver of the Chevy truck, a 58-year-old man from Atlantic, Iowa, was not injured.
