An injury-accident was reported on westbound I-70 near 78th about 12:20 p.m. Saturday, May 27, as a car hydroplaned, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
A Dodge Charger lost control, hydroplaning and fish-tailing out of its lane into another lane, then back into its original lane in front of a Chevy Silverado truck, according to the trooper’s report.
Then the Silverado truck hit the Charger in the rear, the report stated.
The driver of the Charger, a 41-year-old woman from Kansas City, Mo., was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Silverado, a 39-year-old Blue Springs, Mo., woman, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
