An injury-accident was reported at 11:36 p.m. Saturday, May 21, on eastbound I-70 west of the 78th Street exit, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Nissan Altima was at a complete stop because of construction traffic, and a Nissan Murano was slowing to a stop, according to the trooper’s report.
Then a Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended the Murano, pushing it into the right shoulder, the trooper’s report stated. The Silverado then struck the Altima in the rear, the report stated.
The driver of the Silverado, a 28-year-old man from Grain Valey, Missouri, had a possible injury, the report stated. A passenger in the Silverado, a 28-year-old woman from Independence, Missouri, had a possible injury and was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the Murano, a 28-year-old woman from Silver Lake, Kansas, had a possible injury and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the Altima, a 31-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, had no apparent injury. A passenger in the Altima, a 31-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, also had no apparent injury, the report stated. A third person in the Altima, a 31-year-old man from Nashville, Tennessee, also had no apparent injury, according to the report. There was also a fourth person in the Altima, a 30-year-old woman, with no information listed about injuries.
