An injury-accident was reported on I-70 westbound near the 110th Street exit about 6:53 a.m. Monday, March 16, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority.
A KTA trooper’s report stated that a 1993 Honda vehicle was in the right lane when it traveled onto the shoulder on I-70. Then the Honda traveled across three lanes, according to the trooper’s report.
A 2013 Chevrolet driving in the left lane then struck the Honda in the side and both vehicles hit the barrier wall, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Honda, a 26-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 28-year-old woman from Wellsville, Kan., was not injured, the report stated.
