An injury-accident was reported at 7:39 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, on westbound I-70 near the ramp to 78th Street, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash log.
A Hyundai Elantra was westbound on I-70 when it lost control and struck the inside barrier wall, the trooper’s report stated.
The Elantra crossed three lanes of traffic and came to rest in the south ditch between I-70 and the exit ramp to 78th Street, the trooper’s report stated.
Roads were slick at the time.
The driver, a 23-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, had a possible minor injury, the report stated. She was wearing a seat belt.
