An injury-accident was reported at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, on westbound I-70 near the I-635 exit. There was rain in the area on Wednesday morning.
Two Chevy Cobalts and a Freightliner semi were traveling westbound on I-70 when the driver of the first Cobalt lost control, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The first Cobalt struck the semi, then the first Cobalt struck the second Cobalt, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the second Cobalt, a 37-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the first Cobalt, a 19-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had no apparent injury, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the semi, a 20-year-old man from Garden City, Kansas, had no apparent injury, the trooper’s report said.
