An injury-accident was reported about 11:17 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7 on eastbound I-70 near 3rd Street and James Street in Kansas City, Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
According to a trooper’s report, a Chrysler PT Cruiser was broken down on I-70, and a semi was unable to stop in time. It rear-ended the Chrysler.
The driver of the PT Cruiser, a 27-year-old man from New Century, Kansas, had some pain and a possible injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The driver of the International semi was a 70-year-old man from Benton, Arkansas, according to the trooper’s report. He was not injured.
