A Peterbilt heavy truck rear-ended a Chevy Cavalier at 11:45 p.m. July 23 on eastbound I-70, west of the 78th Street exit in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, the two vehicles were in the middle lanes and the drivers exited the vehicles, leaving the Cavalier in the center lane.
Then the Cavalier was struck by another vehicle, a Freightliner semi, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Cavalier, a 48-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, had a possible injury, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Peterbilt, a 19-year-old man from Venus, Texas, was not injured, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Freightliner semi, a 71-year-old man from Aurora, Colorado, was not injured, the report stated.
