An injury-accident was reported about 12:42 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, on northbound I-435 north of State Avenue, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
A Chevrolet Cobalt was northbound on I-435 when the driver became distracted, drove into the median and vaulted off the embankment, rolling off the roadway into the ditch, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver, a 73-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
