An injury-accident was reported at 7:40 a.m. Thursday, April 4, on eastbound I-70 near the 78th Street exit.
A Ford sport utility vehicle slowed because of heavy traffic and was struck from behind by a Dodge Ram pickup truck, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s crash log.
The driver of the Dodge pickup, a 39-year-old man from Overland Park, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Ford sport utility vehicle, a 55-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, was not injured, the report stated.
