An injury-accident was reported about 10:08 p.m. Saturday, June 30, on eastbound Leavenworth Road, east of 115th Street.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was eastbound on Leavenworth Road at 115th Street, traveling on the opposite side of the roadway. A police pursuit was involved, according to the trooper’s report.
The Monte Carlo sideswiped a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina that was westbound on Leavenworth Road, the trooper’s report stated.
A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling eastbound on Leavenworth Road when the Monte Carlo hit the Lumina, pushing the Equinox into the ditch on its side, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Monte Carlo, a 33-year-old man from Riverside, Missouri, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Lumina, an 18-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was injured and was taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Equinox, a 43-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
