An injury-accident was reported at 2:26 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, on southbound K-7 near Kansas Avenue, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Lexus ES car was braking because of a traffic signal, when a Chevy Silverado could not stop in time and struck the rear of the Lexus, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Lexus, a 14-year-old girl from Kansas City, Kansas, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
A 49-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man who was a passenger in the Lexus was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.
Another 14-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, girl who was a passenger in the Lexus also was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 27-year-old Lawrence, Kansas, man, had a possible injury, the report stated.
