An injury-accident was reported at 9:30 a.m. July 22 on K-7 near Leavenworth Road, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Chrysler car was northbound on K-7 while a Ford sport utility vehicle was turning east onto Leavenworth Road, the trooper’s report stated.
The Chrysler ran a red light and struck the Ford, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 62-year-old woman from Basehor, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Ford SUV, a 36-year-old woman from Lansing, Kansas, was not injured, the report stated.
A 17-year-old passenger in the Ford SUV also was not injured, the report stated.
