Injuries were reported after an accident at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 31 on northbound K-7 just south of State Avenue.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Mercury Sable was southbound on K-7 without its headlights on, when it made a U-turn and was struck in the passenger door by a northbound Chevrolet Avalanche. The Sable was then struck head-on by a northbound Nissan Maxima, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Sable, a 40-year-old Bonner Springs, Kansas, man, was injured and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Avalanche, a 46-year-old Shawnee, Kansas, man, had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Maxima, a 24-year-old Basehor, Kansas, man, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
