I-70 west lanes closed because of accident at I-435

Lanes of I-70 west were closed around 4 p.m. Wednesday because of an accident at I-435 in Kansas City, Kan.

Traffic was backed up for quite a distance on I-70 westbound at I-435.

KC Scout reported the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. Several emergency vehicles were at the scene. It was raining at the time. Drivers were advised to find alternate routes.
