Work will begin today, June 7, on I-35 in Johnson County to lengthen the bridges over the railroad between old U.S. 56 and 151st Street, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Northbound and southbound traffic on I-35 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction through the duration of the project. The project’s estimated completion date is mid-November, according to KDOT.
Pyramid Contractors Inc. of Olathe is the prime contractor on the $5.5 million project.
