Gas prices on Friday morning in Kansas City, Kan., ranged from $2.21 to $2.33 per gallon.

According to AAA Fuel Gauge Report, the current national gas price is $2.44 per gallon. That compares to $2.45 a week ago; $2.23 a month ago; and $3.50 a year ago, according to the report.

The average gas price in Kansas is $2.34 a gallon, compared to $2.12 a month ago and $3.44 a year ago, according to AAA. The average gas price in Missouri is $2.24, according to AAA.
