House fires reported in KCK today

A fire investigator sifted through items from a house fire in the 1700 block of North 43rd Street today.

A fire damaged a home near 25th and Garfield today. One firefighter had a minor injury, according to a social media post by the fire chief. There was also a house fire reported in the 10300 block of Parkview today. In addition, a fire in an outdoor storage area at Waste Management in the 2400 block of South 88th St. today caused rail traffic to be shut down temporarily, and it has been restored. There were no injuries.
