The homicide victim from Oct. 10 in the 200 block of Walker Avenue has been identified, according to police.
The victim was Christopher Lancaster, 36, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., police said.
Police responded to a shooting at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 200 block of Walker, a spokesman said. When they arrived, police found Lancaster inside the residence, who had been shot multiple times.
He was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, the spokesman said.
Witnesses gave officers information which led to a person of interest being taken into custody, according to police. Charges were filed this afternoon against a suspect.
