The victim of a homicide at 11:44 p.m. Oct. 9 in the 600 block of Stewart Avenue has been identified, according to police.
Hakim Ali, 16, was a resident of Kansas City, Kan., police said.
When police arrived at the location, they found Ali suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, a spokesman said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries about 1:45 a.m.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
