Police have identified the victim of a homicide on Friday, Jan. 15, in the 600 block of Freeman.
The victim was Clinton Sherwood, 18, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a police spokesman.
Officers were dispatched to the location at 11:47 a.m. Jan. 15 on a report of shots fired, the spokesman stated.
When they arrived, officers found a deceased man in his late teens inside the residence, with apparent gunshot wounds, according to the spokesman.
It was the second homicide of the year in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, police stated.
