Kansas City, Kan., police have identified the victim of a homicide on Aug. 30 in the 2400 block of North 9th Street.
The victim was identified as Natasha A. Hays, 36, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., according to a police spokesman.
When police arrived at 3:47 p.m. Aug. 30, in response to a shots fired call, they found a woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound. She was inside the home.
A preliminary investigation revealed that unknown persons drove by and fired shots into the residence, striking the victim, according to the spokesman.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
