The victim of a homicide at 8:38 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 500 block of Freeman Avenue has been identified, according to Kansas City, Kansas, police.
The victim was Bradley J. Samsel, 18, a resident of Tonganoxie, Kansas, police said.
Officers who arrived at the scene found two persons suffering from gunshot wounds, police stated. Samsel was pronounced dead at the scene. A female victim had life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she was in critical condition, according to police.
The shooting is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
