The victim of a homicide on Sept. 2 in the 3100 block of Mellier Avenue has been identified, according to police.
The victim was Tracey A. Carter, 36, a police spokesman stated.
Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 4:30 a.m. Sept. 2, and found a man in his 30s who had been shot, according to the spokesman. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
