Kansas City, Kan., police have identified a homicide victim from Aug. 31 in the 100 block of South 12th Street.
The victim was identified as Kevin E. Gonzalez, 21, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., according to a police spokesman.
The spokesman said police responded to a shooting at 11:46 p.m. Aug. 31 and found a man lying in the street, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
A preliminary investigation showed that unknown suspects drove by and fired shots at the victim, striking him, the spokesman said.
