The victim of a homicide Monday night at 10th and Kimball Avenue has been identified, police said.
The victim was Mark A. Payne, 26, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department.
Police officers responded to 10th and Kimball Avenue area and found him dead in the street from apparent gunshot wounds, the spokesman said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
