Today police released the name of the homicide victim in the 900 block of Miami Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
The victim was Erica M. Rippetoe, 31, a resident of Kansas City, Kan.
She was found by police at 11:29 a.m. July 20 as officers responded to a call to check on the welfare of an individual. She died from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police.
Police said the case is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
