Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a homicide about 3:43 a.m. Sunday, July 2, in the 300 block of Waverly Avenue.
A police spokesman stated that three men in their 20s were involved in a rolling disturbance while traveling north on 3rd Street when unknown suspects began shooting at them.
One man was found dead at the scene, while a second occupant of the vehicle had minor injuries, police said. The third occupant of the vehicle was not injured.
The identity of the victim will not be released until there is positive identification and family notification, the spokesman said.
