A homicide was reported about 4:22 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in the 1100 block of Freeman Avenue, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Detectives for the police department are investigating the shooting, the spokesman stated.
When officers arrived at the location, they found a male in his late 40s, the victim of an apparent shooting, according to the spokesman. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
