Police are investigating a homicide at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the 1100 block of Freeman Avenue.
According to a police spokesman, officers who arrived at the scene discovered a man in his early 40s who had been shot after an altercation in the street.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokesman stated.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
