The homicide rate for 2014 in Kansas City, Kan., had a very slight increase as compared to the previous year, according to figures announced today by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department.
A spokesman said there were 32 homicides in 2014, a slight increase as compared to 29 in 2013.
In four of the 2014 homicides, the victims were juveniles, the spokesman said.
A Police Department spokesman said the goal is to remain vigilant in reducing violent crimes and homicides in the community.
