July gaming revenues at the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway were up almost $1 million from the previous month, according to figures released today by the Kansas Lottery Commission.
The increase is about 7.7 percent from last month.
Keith Kocher, director of program assurance and integrity for the Kansas Lottery, said all three state casinos saw increases in July.
Gaming revenues were $12.5 million for Hollywood Casino in Wyandotte County; $15.76 million for Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kan.; and $3.4 million for Boot Hill Casino in Dodge City, Kan.
In a written report to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, Hollywood Casino officials stated that the July gaming revenue was an increase of 13.5 percent over July of last year, with most of the increase in slots revenue, which was 15.5 percent higher.
Attendance was up 5,000 or about 3 percent over July of 2014, according to John Canham, interim vice president and general manager of the facility.
During the month the casino held several promotional offers and restaurant specials, according to Canham’s report.
Also at the Kansas Lottery Commission meeting today, Deputy Executive Director Sherriene Jones-Sontag said a $1.79 million jackpot winner in northeast Kansas for the Super Kansas Cash lottery ticket drawing on Aug. 3 has not yet come forward.
The winning ticket was sold somewhere in northeast Kansas, an area of 21 counties including Wyandotte County.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 1-2-18-20-25 Super Cashball 15. The winner was advised to immediately sign the back of the ticket.
