A hit-and-run injury-accident was reported at 9:19 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, on southbound I-635 near Parallel Parkway, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
An unknown vehicle and a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck were southbound on I-635 when the unknown vehicle cut off the pickup truck, according to the trooper’s report.
The pickup truck, which was pulling a trailer, then struck the unknown vehicle in the rear, according to the report.
The pickup truck then lost control and went into the ditch, the trooper’s report stated.
A Honda Civic traveling in the other direction, northbound, was then struck by debris, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 57-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated. He was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Honda Civic, an 18-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had no apparent injury, the report stated.
No information was available about the other vehicle and driver, who left.
