A hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian was reported at about 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the 100 block of North 10th Street, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokesman.
An initial investigation showed that the driver of a pickup truck was traveling south on North 10th Street, struck a pedestrian and left the scene before officers arrived, the spokesman stated.
The pedestrian had critical injuries and is receiving treatment at a hospital, police said.
The accident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team.
