High temperatures will continue today, with a high near 91 and a heat index of 96, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday will also see temperatures in the 90s, according to the weather service, before showers and thunderstorms move in on Thursday night.

Friday’s temperatures will drop to a high near 84, with more showers and thunderstorms possible through Friday night, the weather service said.

Some of the storms Friday could be severe, according to the weather service. Cooler and drier weather is predicted for the weekend.

Thunderstorms may return Monday night to mid-week, the weather service said.

Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 91, the weather service said, and a heat index as high as 96. A south wind of 8 to 14 mph will gust as high as 21 mph.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 71 and a south wind of 8 to 13 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 93 and a south wind of 9 to 17 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph, the weather service said.

Thursday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 68 with a south wind of 10 to 15 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds may gust as high as 21 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.

Friday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 84 with a calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Friday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 62. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 85, the weather service said.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78, the weather service said.
