Heavy rains moved through Wyandotte County overnight and this morning.
Today the chance of rain and thunderstorms will continue through 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Currently there are some storms south of the Kansas City area.
Ongoing flooding will persist with continued light to moderate rain possible. New flooding could begin if lingering storms intensify.
The risk for severe weather will disappear until Sunday when another front will sink south through the region, the weather service said.

Tonight, the low will be 64.
