A heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday, June 18, according to the National Weather Service.

The high may be near 94 today, with a heat index as high as 102, the weather service said, and a south wind of 10 to 13 mph, gusting to 18 mph.

Heat illnesses are possible for those spending prolonged time outdoors or those more susceptible to heat illnesses, including children and the elderly.

A combination of hot temperatures and high humidity could lead to possible heat illnesses. When possible, people should reschedule strenuous activities to early in the morning or in the evening, according to the weather service.

Know the signs and symptoms of heat stroke and heat exhaustion, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and drink plenty of water.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 75 and a south wind of 8 to 11 mph, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 90, the weather service said. Heat index values may be as high as 96. A south southwest wind of around 10 mph is in the forecast. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Tuesday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 72, according to the weather service, and a south southwest wind of 6 to 8 mph. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 84 with a south wind of 6 to 9 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 67, according to the weather service. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Thursday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 81, the weather service said.

Thursday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 66, according to the weather service.

Friday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 83.

Friday night, the low will be around 66 with mostly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Saturday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 87, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 71, according to the weather service.

Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 90, the weather service said.
