An evening of the arts was held Saturday evening, Dec. 6, at Grinter Place, 78th and K-32.
The holiday event, which was well attended, included the chance to visit with local artists and view their works, hear live music by local musicians and visit with local authors. There also was a wine-tasting and a treasure hunt at the event.
The next event at Grinter Place will be a Family Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 13, for families and children.
Scheduled are a free picture with Santa Claus, face painting, listening to storytellers and doing a craft project.
Admission for the Dec. 13 event is $3 per person or $15 for a family of six or more.
The event includes a tour of Grinter House, a state historic site in Kansas City, Kan.
Grinter House is decorated for Christmas in the style of the 1800s.
