Grand marshals at Hollywood Casino 400 to include 50 gaming guests

Penn National Gaming has invited their best players from across the country to experience the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway and 50 of those guests have been selected as the grand marshals for the race on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Previously announced, actor Tom Payne from AMC’s The Walking Dead will wave the green flag to start the Hollywood Casino 400 as the honorary starter.

Also taking part in pre-race activities is Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon, who was named the honorary pace car driver.

Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Master Detective Danon Vaughn will sing the national anthem, while the Overland Park Police Honor Guard will present the colors.

Kansas Speedway, a premier motorsports facility in the Midwest, hosts two NASCAR race weekends a year, in addition to hosting approximately 200 other events throughout the year. In the fall, the NASCAR playoffs return Oct. 20-21 with the NASCAR XFINITY Series Kansas Lottery 300 and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400. Also in the fall is the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards series finale.
