Gaming revenue for the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway was down in November as compared to October, according to figures released recently by the Kansas Lottery.
Gaming revenue at Hollywood was about $10.9 million for November, as compared to $11.7 million in October, according to the reports.
Two other Kansas casinos, the Boot Hill Casino at Dodge City, Kan., and the Kansas Star Casino at Mulvane, Kan., also reported declines in revenue from October to November.
The Boot Hill Casino had November gaming revenue of $2.8 million, compared to about $3.3 million in October. The Kansas Star Casino reported November gaming revenue of $13.9 million, compared to October revenue of $15.28 million, according to the reports.
According to a written report from Rick Skinner, Hollywood Casino vice president and general manager, to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, the total gaming revenue for November 2015 was $10.9 million, a decrease of $386,000 or 3.4 percent from November of last year.
Slot revenue was relatively flat at $9.4 million, which was an increase of $71,000, or less than 1 percent, over the prior year, Skinner’s report stated.
Table games revenue was $1.5 million, a decrease of $457,000, or 23.6 percent down, compared to the prior year, the report said. There was a decrease in table games volume, and the decrease in revenue can be attributed to an abnormally low hold percentage versus a high hold percentage in 2014, the report stated. The hold was down 5.1 points year over year.
Skinner also reported that the weather over the Thanksgiving weekend did not help drive revenue, with visitation numbers lower than usual.
