From 2 to 4 inches of snow expected overnight

Snow was falling on Thursday night in Wyandotte County, and as much as 2 to 4 inches of snow was possible overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Wyandotte County is under a winter weather advisory until noon Friday, the weather service said.

On Friday, snow and freezing rain are likely before 3 p.m., then a slight chance of snow between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., according to the weather service.

Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions, and the conditions could impact the Friday morning commute, according to the weather service.

The next chance for winter precipitation comes in the middle of next week, the weather service said.
