Four injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash at 7:31 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, on Parallel Parkway just east of 99th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a 1999 Ford Explorer was westbound on Parallel when a Wyandotte County Sheriff’s officer initiated a traffic stop.
The 1999 Explorer fled at a high rate of speed, and the sheriff’s officer did not pursue the vehicle, according to the trooper’s report.
The Explorer then struck a 2017 Ford Fiesta and a 2016 Ford Explorer just east of 99th Street, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the 1999 Explorer, a 63-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 26-year-old woman from Leavenworth, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
A 21-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., man in the Fiesta was not injured, the report stated. Another passenger, a 25-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., woman in the Fiesta, was injured and was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the 2016 Explorer, a 57-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.
