The American Fallen Warrior Foundation will hold a meet and greet starting at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Frontier Justice, 10000 France Family Drive, Kansas City, Kansas.
The group will update its plans and activities for a memorial it is planning for Kansas City.
There will be a presentation about the planned memorial and museum at 6:15 p.m.
The organization also has scheduled a photographic war memorial from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Cabela’s, near the front entrance, 10300 Cabela Drive, Kansas City, Kansas. The public may attend and view the memorial.
The group also has plans to place 8,000 American flags along State Avenue near 94th in front of the Schlitterbahn waterpark on May 24 to honor more than 8,000 service members who died during the war on terror.
