The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning again for Wyandotte County until 3:45 p.m. today.
At 12:28 p.m. today, emergency management personnel reported that flooding was continuing along area creeks and streams. Up to four inches of rain has fallen over the warned area.
Anyone in the path of a potential flood should take precautions now, according to the weather service.
Drivers who encounter water in the roadways should turn around and find another route. It only takes a few inches of water to carry a vehicle away, the weather service said.
