Flags along State Avenue honor fallen warriors

The American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation has placed thousands of American flags in front of the Schlitterbahn Waterpark at 94th and State Avenue to honor more than 8,000 service members who died during the War on Terror. It is the third year AFWMF has placed flags at this location. The foundation hopes to build a memorial and museum in the Kansas City area.
