Whitney Bower and Jessica Purvis (Bower) were the first same-sex couple to be married in Wyandotte County on Nov. 14 after Judge Wayne Lampson waived the three-day waiting period on Nov. 13. The ceremony was conducted by Judge Kathleen Lynch.
