There are some activities and public fireworks displays planned in Wyandotte County for the Fourth of July.
Pierson Park will have a professional fireworks display again this year on July 3, while the T-Bones will have two fireworks displays, one on July 3 and one July 4.
Pierson Park fireworks display July 3
The Turner Recreation Commission fireworks display is planned at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Pierson Park, 1800 S. 55th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
The professional fireworks display is sponsored by the Turner Recreation Commission and the Unified Government Parks Department. It is free and open to the public.
Those attending may bring lawn chairs. There will be no parking on the left side of the street, and no outside fireworks will be allowed into the park.
Fireworks displays at T-Bones Stadium
The T-Bones have scheduled a professional fireworks display after the 7:05 p.m. games on Tuesday, July 3, and Wednesday, July 4, according to a spokesman.
The T-Bones will face the Sioux Falls Canaries in both games. T-Bones Stadium is located in the Village West area, near I-435 and I-70 in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Marching Band of the 35th Infantry Division Band, the official band of the Kansas National Guard, will play the National Anthem at 7:05 p.m. July 4 at the Kansas City T-Bones game in Kansas City, Kansas.

Library offers kids’ party on July 3
A Fourth of July party for children and all ages is planned from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the Turner Community Library, Bear’s Den, 831 S. 55th, Kansas City, Kansas.
