A fire was reported at 11:27 p.m. Dec. 19 at a single-family home in the 1300 block of North 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.
A spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department stated that the cause of the fire was unknown and is under investigation.
When firefighters arrived, they saw flames showing from the roof and side windows, the spokesman stated.
Fire crews attacked the fire with hand lines, and primary and secondary searches were completed by truck companies, the spokesman stated.
The fire was extinguished in about 50 minutes, the Fire Department stated. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
The Red Cross was called to assist two adults and one child, the spokesman stated.
The estimated loss was $90,000 to the property and $20,000 to the contents of the home.
