A fire at 1:17 p.m. Oct. 8 caused $250,000 damage to a home and its contents at 905 Armstrong Ave. in Kansas City, Kan., according to a Fire Department spokesman.
There was a delay in response – with crews arriving within 5 minutes – because of another fire in the same district at the same time, the spokesman said.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were sent to the University of Kansas Hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
Crews saw heavy fire showing through all floors of a three-story wood-frame home, the spokesman said. A primary and secondary search confirmed all residents were out of the home.
The loss to the home was valued at $200,000, and contents valued at $50,000, which was the total value of the property, the spokesman said.
