A fatality was reported at 1:08 a.m. Sept. 22 on eastbound K-68 in Franklin County, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Ford F-150 truck was fleeing from police when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled, according to the trooper’s report.
Mario Calderon-Orozco, 29, Roeland Park, Kan., died in the accident, according to the trooper’s report. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The trooper’s report stated that the driver of the vehicle is unknown at this time, but it is believed that one of the four occupants was the driver.
The other occupants of the vehicle, besides Calderon-Orozco, included a 21-year-old male, unknown city, with a Mexico identification card; a 32-year-old male, unknown city in Kansas, who was injured and taken to the hospital; and a 19-year-old male from Kansas City, Kan., according to the trooper’s report.
